The GYNECARE PROLIFT Mesh Lawsuit Center provides a wealth of information about lawsuits against Ethicon for those who believe their mesh implants have harmed them.
New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/13/2013 -- There are now about 40,000 transvaginal mesh injury lawsuits pending in a consolidation in federal court in West Virginia, more than a quarter of those involving Johnson & Johnson Ethicon’s GYNECARE PROLIFT vaginal mesh implants. The GYNECARE PROLIFT Mesh Lawsuit Center at gynecareproliftmeshlawsuit.com notes that the depth and breadth of the litigation has necessitated the expansion of the plaintiffs’ executive committee.
Judge Joseph R. Goodwin in a Dec. 6 order added three attorneys to the executive committee, which is in charge of the plaintiffs’ side of six different multidistrict litigation matters that are now made up of almost 40,000 pending lawsuits, according to court documents (In re: C.R. Bard, Inc., Pelvic Repair System Products Liability Litigation; MDL-2187, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia).
MDLs are consolidations of cases with similar causes for suit as a means for creating efficient pretrial proceedings.
