Slough, Berkshire -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/22/2017 -- Shooting UK, an online shooting site, has recently released an article which states that the damaging changing to EU gun laws have been avoided, this happened after European Parliament passed revision to the 1991 EU Firearms Directive. It was said that plans to tighten the European law were made after the Charlie Hebo shooting in Paris, which took place back in 2015.

The article states that during the debate which went on for over two years, there were damaging proposals such as restricting the firearms licence to five years and restrictions of home loading of ammunition and the ownership of firearms by people under the age of eighteen.

However, after the long and difficult process they reached a compromise which safeguarding the interests of lawful sports shooters but protected the public from criminals and terrorists, who could get a hold of firearms.
