Victory Smokehouse Kicks off 2nd Annual November Smoke Harvest, Nov. 1. Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for a Cure to Benefit

Detroit, MI -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/30/2014 -- In celebration of the season and a successful year, the Victory Smokehouse is proud to announce the 2nd Annual November Smoke Harvest. The fall barbecue festival will be held on November 1, 2014 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Victory Inn located at 28950 Mound Road, Warren, MI.

The Victory Smokehouse owner and Pitmaster, Chris Callender, will be smoking 1000 pounds of ribs, brisket, and pulled pork on-site in a brand new, custom built three-ton pit. The event is expected to nearly double in size from last year.

“The event will provide a great opportunity for Southeastern Michigan residents to taste true American barbecue and have fun with friends and family while supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” said Callender.

“We’re calling all BBQ lovers to come out and have a great time with us at this family friendly event in support of a worthy cause.”

Besides barbecued ribs, brisket and pulled pork, Smoke Harvest attendees will also get a chance to participate in bourbon tastings, win great prizes from Yelp, and hang out in the beer tent while enjoying live music amidst a variety of fall harvest fun.

“This is the second year we’ve had this event, and we’re very excited. Last year, we were overwhelmed by the response we got – it was just great. We sold out of food in just over three hours, so this year we’re doubling our capacity,” said Callender.

The Victory Smokehouse is very excited to be supporting the Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for a Cure to help fight and bring awareness to breast cancer. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure®.
