Why People Raise So Little with Facebook Crowdfunding

How to get fully funded doing Facebook Crowdfunding

Ontario, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/30/2017 -- Dr. Letitia Wright, America's Crowdfunding Strategist, has noted the rise in Facebook Crowdfunding. Many people trying to do a fundraiser on Facebook should use crowdfunding methods to make it successful. " I see a lot of individuals raising $50 or $150 in total. They have a hard time breaking through the noise of Facebook to bring attention to their fundraiser. If people used the tactics used for crowdfunding, they would see a significant rise in the amount of money raised.

Crowdfunding has a different set of rules when it comes to success. There are things you will do that do not resemble traditional fundraising. Now that Facebook has over 2 million users, it stands to be the biggest fundraising platform in history. Individuals need to learn how to make it work. Facebook crowdfunding is only used for things that help communities. Facebook crowdfunding is not used for business, yet. "You can use it for health emergencies, pet emergencies, school needs, civic needs as well as for emergency housing. We all know people who need help, and we all know at least 350 people on Facebook who could give $25 towards any particular situation," says Dr. Wright.

When asked why there seems to be so little success, Dr. Wright had this to add. "People are supporting fundraisers but never tell the story of why they are supporting it. They need to tell the story of why its' important to them. There are so many things pulling at our attention; it's difficult for people to prioritize a fundraiser. We need to be better story tellers when it comes to helping others. "

Dr. Wright teaches crowdfunding for the Small Business Administration in Los Angeles, The Small Business Administration in Las Vegas as well as the Inland Empire Women's Business Center.
