"Wigs of JOY" Is Raising Funds in Order to Bring Back a Smile and Joy Into the Lives of Those Fighting Cancer and Alopecia

This fundraising campaign is set to alleviate the morale of those fighting cancer and alopecia by providing medical wigs that are normally out of their scope of affordability.

Chicago, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/18/2014 -- Christie Ann, the owner of a hair salon in Chicago, has begun the Wigs of Joy campaign to allay the crushed confidence of many children and women who are struggling from severe hair loss either due to cancer or alopecia. These devastated individuals find it very difficult indeed to cover up the hair loss as wigs are expensive, especially medical wigs that cost around $150 as they are designed for maximum comfort throughout the day. This fundraiser therefore comes as a boon to all those individuals paying a steep price for the cure of their disease.

Both cancer and alopecia are demanding in terms of finances and as a result, people suffering from them have to direct most of their earnings into curing these diseases. This leaves them very little resources to fend against the scars left by them. Hair loss even in the smallest amounts has the ability to bruise the self-confidence of many and hence one can only imagine the plight of those who deal with a permanent and undue loss of hair.

This won't fix all of their problems, but it will give them one less thing to worry about in their time of need. Bringing them smiles to their faces is what i enjoy.”
