Bucharest, Romania -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/03/2014 -- The Indiegogo campaign started by security startup CyberGhost VPN for building the first NoSpyProxy, out of NSA’s reach, has achieved its target in just two weeks.
The campaign aimed to raise $70.000 from their international community and privacy enthusiasts worldwide and €50.000 from their German supporters.
More than 2200 backers supported the idea with the average donation of €62 and 15 lifetime subscriptions to the service claimed, so far.
“We are so excited that our #NoSpyProxy campaign has reached its initial goal and we managed to draw attention on this important subject of online privacy.
We're sure that more victories of privacy will follow, but every citizen has to take responsibility for his own online privacy and personal data by using trustful encryption services”, says Robert Knapp, the CEO of CyberGhost VPN.
The total amount raised until this moment surpasses €130.000, the campaign will be going on for 35 more days and a list of stretch goals will soon be posted on the campaign’s page.
