However there are cases of abnormal bleeding from the uterus outside menstruation. KG (Germany), Medgyn Products, Inc., Olympus (Japan), Richard Wolf GmbH (Germany), Stryker (U.S.), Xion Medical GmbH (Germany), Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (India), Torrent Phamraceuticals (India).

1. Braun Melsungen AG, Stryker and Karl Storz Gmbh & Co. KG hold a lion's share of the market for dysfunctional uterine bleeding. However the drug segment has been growing moderately which is a cause of concern. Endometrial Ablation devices are the next wave which needs to be tapped with technologically advanced companies being in advantageous position. The market is fragmented which has exerted pressure on the prices. Thus product development is a strong strategy which will result in higher margin. High tech devices segment is also a better use of the high quality of manpower present in the company. For the low tech segment market development strategy will result in greater return on investment. Thus taking advantage of the global supply chains will be a tactical move to dominate the market.

Regional outlook of the Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding market:
America is the largest market for dysfunctional uterine bleeding market across the globe. The market is driven by the rising prevalence of uterine cancer and other uterine disorders among women. According to the American Cancer Institute, about 61,380 new cases of uterine cancer is estimated to be diagnosed in 2017. Europe is the second largest market owing to an increasing demand for diagnosis and treatment measures for uterine cancer, fibroids and other disorders, and increasing emphasis on women healthcare.

The market in Asia Pacific is expected to grow at the fastest pace and is driven by the increasing prevalence of menstrual disorders, rising awareness about causes of such disorders and early diagnosis and treatment measures among women. The market is also driven by rising prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases among women in the developing nations. Rising awareness is the key to the market as a large unmet need is present in the developing regions which has not been tapped due to the stigma associated with women gynaecological disorders.

The Middle East & Africa also show a steady rise in the market owing to increasing focus on women and child health, and need of primary care services in developing regions. Cost will be a major issue in the Middle East and Africa market. A first comer in the African market will benefit as it is difficult for any other company to dislodge the established player due to the lower volume of treatment. It would also be difficult for any new player to develop cost and scale efficiencies in such a highly competitive market.
