Motherboard takes place in the headquarters of the fictitious corporation MEGAZON, which can control every aspect of human interaction via their ECON Chip Implant. After many years of collecting data, MEGAZON's mainframe computer, MOTHERBOARD has gained sentience and plans to assimilate everyone on Earth under her control.
A small group of resistance fighters (the players) is humanity's only hope of salvation. This group of four to ten people has only one hour to disable MOTHERBOARD and free the world from MEGAZON's clutches. If they fail, all will be lost.
The opening of Motherboard is the result of an exciting collaborative process organized by the Xscape the Room - Media, PA team. Rosemary Fox, Carlin McCoy, and other valued team members worked to take this game from an initial concept to an immersive escape room experience, which is unique to this company.
The team also recently completed beta testing of the Motherboard game. During this final phase before the launch, community members volunteered to try to finish the escape room and share their thoughts afterward. Xscape the Room brought in a representative sample of local players, including escape room enthusiasts, active seniors, middle schoolers, and families.
