Englishtown, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/05/2017 -- Once refreshed stereo receiver R-N602, Yamaha introduced a slightly weaker two-channel receiver with network connectivity, which bears the R-N402. The design does not bring anything new, but the R-N402 packed in case the correct forms, with transparent layout controls on the front panel. All information read on dot-matrix screen in two rows, and at the front are located USB-A port for connecting portable memory, as well as the headphone output.
Under the hood is located amplifier of 100 watts per channel (8 ?, 40 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.2% THD), D/A converter round Burr-Brown DSD1791 and modules for network, wi-fi, bluetooth connectivity and AirPlay. In addition to the terminal for two pairs of speakers, the rear of the receiver has four line inputs and one output, coaxial and optical digital input, network connection and inputs for the FM and AM antennas. In terms of support for digital audio files, R-N402 is capable of reproducing 192 kHz/24-bit-FLAC, WAV and AIFF format, as well as DSD at a frequency of 2.8 and 5.6 megahertz (DSD64 and DSD128).
Control is done with the remote control or by using the Android and Apple applications, a receiver is fully compatible with MusicCast technology. Typically, Yamaha R-N402 will be offered in black and silver, and the expected price on the Western European market is around 500 euros.
