Financial Education of America, LLC launches a nationwide campaign to educate young adults about the importance of financial education
Arlington Heights, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/05/2014 -- According to national surveys, almost half (49 percent) of young adults believe that they do not have proper financial management skills, but recognize the need to take a financial education course and would likely take one if offered. Young adults primarily rely on their parents to teach them about managing their money since many high schools and colleges do not require or offer financial literacy courses. Compounding the need for financial education is the fact that college graduates are leaving with large amounts of student loans and are having a difficult time finding full-time, career jobs.
To help resolve this growing problem, Financial Education of America has launched a national campaign to improve financial literacy in all young adults. The company has partnered with several organizations that are dedicated to helping young adults and will help the company spread its message about financial education. In addition, Financial Education of America created Futurebuck, a web-based financial literacy course that teaches young adults the essentials of financial, credit, and debt management.

Futurebuck is made up of ten course video modules that are segmented into 4-7 minute modules and include quizzes at the end of each module to reinforce the course’s lessons. In less than three hours, young adults will learn about financial topics, including credit cards, debt, budgets, and student loans. Because the program is online, students can complete the program on their own schedule and at their convenience.
Futurebuck was released August 19 and has reached over 30 states and four countries. The course has been reviewed by Military.com and Young Adult Money and has received media coverage in several Chicago-area publications, national online publications, and nationally syndicated radio shows.
