Columbus, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/18/2014 -- With a $25,000 goal Zelosport, LLC has launched a crowdfunding project on Indiegogo to support the construction of their 18 Hole Finger Golf Course. The first of its kind the world, the miniature golf course is slated to tour the nation and be a part of Professional Golf Tour events. Lauded as the “National Championship for the whole family” the Finger Golf Tour will bring communities together by way of male and female participants representing various local organizations and businesses. This idea is the natural extension of the company’s highly successful Finger Football game that toured nationwide with much success.

“We saw so many people be affected in such a great way by our National Finger Football League and the eventual White Castle Slider Bowl that we thought we would broaden the scope and go for a new sport.” said Spud Alford, Founder and CEO of Zelosport, LLC. “The ability of these events to draw communities together is astounding. We’re so happy we can develop the Finger Golf Course and be the springboard to get that accomplished again one game, one tournament, one community at a time.”

The first step in accomplishing their goal is to raise funds to build the Zelosport 18 Hold Finger Golf Course. A unique enterprise with each hole being four to ten feet long, simply stated, the project is expensive. Slated for completion in May the Finger Golf Course product will then be made available exclusively through Zelosport for individuals and businesses who want to start events and tournaments of their own.

The Finger Golf Tournaments are suitably described as the only national competition where a child, a parent and a grandparent of either gender can compete along side each other and have an equal chance at winning. Creating a winsome environment where families can spend time together while enjoying a popular sport the game will prove an integral link to supporting family and community ties.

Alford, himself at one time an Olympic hopeful said of the his most engaging invention, “The whole idea behind the concept was to create games that families can play together in their kitchens and living rooms. I want them to build lasting memories.”
