Married To The War tells the story of a young Marica Love who falls in love with a Croatian man while spending a beautiful vacation in what was then known as Yugoslavia. As she becomes engaged to the love of her life, the first tragic moment that claws its way on Marica's life is her moving back to her home town and the man she'd fallen in love with joining the military.

But alas, war claws its way even deeper into their picturesque life a year after Marica moves back to Croatia to be with the one man she can't forget. And then, Marica tells in her own words how she endured and overcame four years of war.
