Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by stereotyped, repetitive, involuntary movements and vocalization called tics. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 of every 360 children between six and seven has been diagnosed with Tourette syndrome. Further, boys are 3 to 5 times more prone to having Tourette syndrome than girls. Nevertheless, Tourette syndrome tends to have a toll on mental, physical and emotional well-being.
