Optima Cigs Agrees: E-Cigs Should Not Be Taxed as Traditional Cigarettes
Electronic cigarettes are currently not approved by the Federal Drug Administration yet House Bill 372 categorizes e-cigarettes with conventional cigarettes, cigars and smokeless tobacco for the purpose of taxation. Optima Cigs, however, believes that this Bill doesn’t make sense since the FDA hasn’t approved an e-cigarette as a tobacco product.
