A growing interest in celebrity lifestyles, fuelled by wider access to satellite TV and the internet, increased many consumers' desire for lighter skin. Consequently, many women continued to shift to skin whitening products across their skin care regime, particularly as disposable income levels rose and they became better able to afford value-added products.
