Retail volume sales of sweet and savoury snacks increased by 1% in 2012, while current value sales grew only marginally due to the average unit price decrease. Growth was supported by the positive performance of extruded snacks, which accounted for a 60% share of retail volume sales and a 54% share of retail value sales in 2012.
