Report Published: "Baked Goods in South Korea"
Baked goods posted current retail value growth of 5% in 2012 as bread, cakes and pastries all recorded growth. The only category of baked goods that suffered a decline in current retail value terms in 2012 was packaged/industrial pastries. This was because consumers tended to purchase unpackaged/artisanal pastries rather than packaged/industrial pastries, which they perceive to be too high in sugar.
