Manufacturers had the confirmation in 2011 and 2012: sales of ice cream are progressively less and less impacted by seasons owing to an ongoing upgrading on the one hand and the upsurge of low-cost products on the other hand. Belgians increasingly self-indulge with increasingly sophisticated or accessible products. It enables manufacturers to partly offset unfavourable years in terms of weather conditions and better even out sales along the year with a lot of innovation and a stronger support.
