"Direct Selling in the Czech Republic" Published
Retail value sales of direct selling continued to decrease due to lower consumer demand. In 2012, current value sales fell by 2%, a similar performance to 2011. As the economic situation remained poor, Czech consumers continued to restrain their spending at the end of the review period. Moreover, retail value sales were negatively influenced by the rising competition from other channels, mainly internet retailing and chained store-based specialist retailers.
