Economic conditions in New Zealand remained constrained in 2012; however, despite this, consumer confidence appeared to be improving. In fact, the ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence survey rose to 114.1 in November, from 110.5 in October (a reading above 100 indicates there are more optimists than pessimists). According to the index, consumers appeared to be optimistic about both the current and future economic conditions.
