Spreads in Austria - New Market Study Published
With higher demand for natural and intense flavours for the best breakfast experience, spreads is expected to see a 1% increase in volume sales and a stable but stronger value growth of 3% in 2012. Spreads are mostly used for continental breakfasts and somewhat less important for use in baking, such as jams used for Linzer Torte. Consumers are especially interested in organic spreads, as they want organic fruits in jams and locally produced honey.
