Luxury jewellery and timepieces grew by 11%, reaching current value sales of S$592 million in 2012. As consumers become increasingly brand-conscious, demand for luxury jewellery and timepieces increased. Current value growth of luxury jewellery and timepieces was marginally slower in 2012 due to the global economic downturn which impacted the economy of Singapore.
