There was no economic recovery for Portugal in 2012. Moreover, in the last quarter of the year, the Portuguese economy recorded a negative growth rate. The poor economic situation limited the performance of the consumer health market with sales recording a marginal decrease. The Portuguese, who are increasingly worried about the possibility of losing their jobs, are reducing their expenditure on non-essential goods and activities.
