Tourism Flows Inbound in Japan - New Market Study Published
Inbound tourism in 2011 was heavily affected by the Tohoku Earthquake which led to an increase in harmful rumours about nuclear radiation. The number of arrivals saw a huge decline by -28% to only six million trips in 2011. However, 2012 experienced a remarkable recovery and inbound tourism increased by 34% to reach eight million trips.
