Recent Study: Gardening in Argentina
In 2012 the government raised barriers to imports as it desperately needed a positive trade balance in order to have enough US dollars to service foreign debt. This impaired growth in several categories in gardening, as in many of these there is no local production, making imports absolutely necessary. Among the most affected categories were garden power tools, lawn mowers and watering.
