New Market Study, "Cider/Perry in Uruguay", Has Been Published
While off-trade volume sales declined sharply in 2012, the trend to make cider/perry the base drink for Christmas Eve and New Year parties held in pubs and bars remained very strong, boosting cider/perry sales through the on-trade channel. Though this trend was extended through the 2011/2012 summer season in some resort areas, it was only strong enough to increase on-trade volume sales from 5% of the total in 2007 to 9% in 2012.
