New Market Research Report: Cigarettes in Finland
Whilst the volume growth of cigarettes was -2% as 4,583 million sticks were sold in 2012, the value grew by nearly 3%, reaching EUR1,064 million. Several developments took place shaping the cigarettes sector in 2012 as taxes were increased and at the same time the cigarettes were forced under the counter, away from consumers' eyes. Nonetheless, despite the display ban, product and packaging development continued taking place, which was appealing to consumers.
