New Market Research Report: Cafes/Bars in Bulgaria
In 2012 cafes/bars recorded a decrease in terms of value sales and number of outlets, due to the effect of the EU financial crisis and the smoking ban in public places, which came into effect on 1 June 2012. Another reason is the growth of chains such as Starbucks and Costa Coffee, which made small independent outlets find it difficult to compete, and later on some of them ceased being operational.
