Mobile Phones in the Philippines - New Report Available
Volume sales of mobile phones increased by 3% in 2013, a slower performance than in 2011. The moderate growth was attributable to declining handset costs because of the widespread availability of basic models and low-priced brands, and falling post-paid and pre-paid service prices due to stiffer competition between telecommunications companies. As a result, owning a mobile phone became more affordable in the country.
