After the financial crisis began to have a negative effect on the Moroccan economy in 2009, home audio and cinema began to register steep declines. However, the category began to register positive retail volume and value growth again in 2012, with positive growth continuing into 2013. Hi-fi systems experienced the highest retail volume growth towards the end of the review period, with volume growth of 7% registered in both 2012 and 2013.
