In 2013, sweet and savoury snacks continues to profit from the ongoing trend of staying in rather than going out among consumers. Additionally, consumers' interest in naturally healthy snacks is increasing. Both factors are benefiting sweet and savoury snacks. While retail volume growth is slowing down slightly, it is still seeing quite a positive performance. Meanwhile, healthier and more premium product offerings are propping up value growth to be notably higher than volume growth in 2013.
