New Market Report Now Available: Luxury Travel Goods in Japan
Luxury travel goods continued to experience growth in both volume and current value terms in 2013. Luxury travel goods represented less than 10% of overall volume sales of luggage in 2013, but 66% of overall value sales. The growth in sales of luxury travel goods was driven by the increasing travel demand amongst consumers of luxury goods in Japan. Rising stock prices and an improvement in consumer confidence on the back of Abenomics helped to boost travel demand.
