Value sales in overall health and wellness saw healthy growth in Taiwan in 2013 as compared to 2012. This performance was underpinned by rising health awareness among consumers, a trend that was in turn strengthened by the influence of healthy living campaigns run by the Taiwanese government. New launches, marketing campaigns and improvements in retail distribution also helped to increase consumer interest in health and wellness.
