Fresh Food in South Africa - New Study Released
Sales of fresh food continued to record positive growth in South Africa during 2013, with growth slightly faster than earlier years of the review period. The continual improvements being recorded in the economic conditions in South Africa led to further growth in incomes and this resulted in higher spending among South Africans. The country's growing middle class and rapid growth in so-called 'black diamonds', affluent black people, are major factors influencing consumer spending patterns.
