Recent Study: Boston City Review
Boston is a highly innovative, knowledge-based economy, with a GDP of US$338 billion in 2012. Finance, professional services, healthcare and education are thriving industries in the metropolis. Yet, despite Boston's abundant job opportunities and high living standards, the city is losing the race in population growth to the Sunbelt metropolises. Over 2007-2012 the number of residents in Boston grew by 3% to 4.6 million, compared with a 4% rise elsewhere in the US.
