Now Available: Home Improvement in Romania
After suffering heavily from the effects of the recession on consumers? purchasing power, the Romanian home improvement category stagnated in 2013. The previous four years recorded significant decreases, since consumers felt less inclined to invest in the renovation of their homes. However, the main effect of the crisis was people refraining from purchasing new real estate and rather focusing on renovation of existing property. In 2013 home improvement products were responsible for sales worth RON2.4 billion.
