American Heart Association Recommends Transcendental Meditation to Lower Blood Pressure
The American Heart Association (AHA) has released a scientific statement which says that Transcendental Meditation is the only form of meditation that "may be considered in clinical practice to lower Blood Pressure". In the paper titled 'Beyond Medications and Diet: Alternative Approaches to Lowering Blood Pressure' the AHA wrote "Because of many negative studies or mixed results and a paucity of available trials, all other meditation techniques (including MBSR [mindfullness])… are not recommended in clinical practice to lower BP"
