Apparel and Footwear in the Philippines - New Market Report
Apparel and footwear registered value growth of 7% in 2014, supported by consumer and business confidence. Increased appetite for these products was stimulated by increasing disposable income of buyers, especially among young professionals in urban areas. Demand was supported by the growing number of department stores and apparel and footwear specialists in the local market. Sportswear, although among the smallest categories, continued to have strong double-digit growth in 2014.
