Triggered by HTLV-1 virus, adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma is a rare cancer of the T-cells in immune system. Prevailing therapeutics is limited to treatment of the cancer with no apparent inhibiting factors on the disease causing virus, HTLV-1.
