Considering the rapid industrialization and its significant impact of the rising air pollution levels, researchers have recently developed a novel air filter- a polyurethane fiber mat, addressing major concerns pertaining to pressure drop and filtration efficiency in automotive. To enhance filtration efficiency and pressure drop effects, the researchers developed the nanofiber-based double layered air filter using mass production electrospinning, in varying concentrations of thermoplastic polyurethane.
