Actinic Keratosis Treatment Market: Volume of Clinical Evidence Data Bodes Well for Physicians
Actinic keratosis is prevalent as the initial clinical manifestation of a disease continuum in sun-damaged skin which may led to invasive squamous cell carcinoma. There has also been instances of a specific actinic keratosis lesion which regress, persist or progress to invasive squamous cell carcinoma. Though the estimated annual risk of progression of a single actinic keratosis lesion is low, most patients with sun-damaged skin tend to have lot of actinic keratosis lesions, thereby escalating the risk of invasive disease.
