Recently Released Market Study: Cigars in Guatemala
There is not a tradition of cigar smoking in Guatemala, which is why the country has one of the lowest per capita consumption rates in Latin America. Cigars are mainly smoked by upper-income males, and many consume them only at special occasions, such as at a wedding or to celebrate the birth of a baby. Standard cigars represent 75% of total volume sales.
