New Market Study Published: Tobacco in Slovenia
Cigarettes followed expectations in 2011, with retail sales declining in volume terms but increasing in current value terms. This performance was mostly due to hikes in excise taxes and unit prices and the further decline in cross-border sales, which account for a large part of total consumption in Slovenia.
