Cheese in Norway - New Market Report
Imports of cheese grew significantly in 2011. The amount of duty and duty-free cheese imported increased by 4,500 tonnes. From 1 January 2012, the government raised the quota for duty-free cheese imports by another 2,700 tonnes. In addition, Norwegian companies are importing more cheese outside the quota allotment where they are required to pay duties and tariffs.
