Baby Food in Brazil - New Study Released
After the introduction of bigger packaging (800g and 900g) in milk formula, Nestle introduced prepared baby food in 250g (traditional packaging size is 120g). Although the price per kilo of 250g packaging is higher than 120g, it showed a good performance in 2012 as it is more convenient for parents to purchase one packet instead of two when they have to go out. This kind of packaging size, however, mainly targets affluent consumers.
