While the Greek population is ageing, giving incontinence products good growth potential, the economic crisis impacted sales. Substantial cuts in pensions as part of the new austerity measures employed to save the country from bankruptcy left the consumer base for incontinence products struggling to cope with covering their basic needs. The elderly were left with no choice but to reduce spending on incontinence products, hence sales displayed negative growth in both value and volume terms.
