Sunglasses saw high growth in 2012, at 6% in constant value terms, thanks to a favourable change in consumer habits regarding this eyewear type. Specifically, Poles have started to avoid counterfeit brands from the black market, and are turning more to retail outlets for original sunglasses. Nonetheless, some Poles still prefer counterfeit brands due to their cheaper prices.
