Debit Cards in Egypt - New Market Study Published
With debit cards perceived as offering little risk, banks are promoting them rather than credit cards as there is no risk of an increase in non-performing loans. During 2011, following the revolution in January, banks suffered substantial losses on credit cards and thus become more cautious in terms of issuing credit cards.
