It has been suggested that as much as 80% of all the electric motor rebuilds are done because of a bearing failure. These failures can be due to improper bearing use, improper maintenance or improper installation of the electric motor. Proper installation and maintenance of bearings can result in a much longer useful life for any electric motor.
