Stanley Black & Decker Inc was formed in 2010 following the merger between Stanley and Black & Decker. The move did not change the company's geographic profile but did allow it to leverage existing Black & Decker distribution channels to push sales of Stanley in some markets, notably Latin America. The company however remains very dependent on the US market, which made up almost 50% of value sales in 2012.
